Electrical Installation IQALocation: Home-based with travel across East Anglia (Norwich to Colchester)Salary: Up to £44,500 (depending on experience)Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per weekThe OpportunityAre you an experienced Electrical Assessor ready to step up into an IQA role? Or an established Internal Quality Assurer looking for a new challenge?This is a great opportunity to move into (or continue within) a quality-focused position where you’ll have real influence over standards, delivery, and outcomes across an electrical apprenticeship provision.You’ll play a key role in maintaining quality, supporting delivery staff, and ensuring apprentices receive a consistently high standard of training and assessment.About the RoleAs an Electrical IQA / Internal Verifier / Quality Assurance Officer, you’ll oversee the quality of apprenticeship delivery across your region - covering East Anglia from Norwich down to Colchester.This role goes beyond compliance, you’ll act as a coach, mentor and subject matter expert, supporting assessors and trainers to continuously improve.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality assure the work of Electrical Assessors and TrainersSample learner portfolios and assessment decisions to ensure consistency and complianceProvide constructive feedback, coaching, and development support to staffSupport standardisation across teams to maintain high-quality deliveryProduce clear reports, action plans, and follow-up on improvementsPrepare for and support external audits (Awarding Organisations, EPAOs, Ofsted)Monitor trends in delivery and identify areas for improvementEnsure compliance with apprenticeship standards and regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate records of IQA activity and samplingEmbed safeguarding, Prevent, equality & diversity, and health 'safety into quality processesKeep up to date with industry standards, frameworks, and best practiceWho This Role Would SuitThis role is ideal for candidates from backgrounds such as:Electrical Assessor / NVQ AssessorElectrical Trainer / Tutor with assessing experienceSenior / Lead AssessorExisting IQA / Internal VerifierExperienced Electrician with assessing qualification looking to progressIf you’re currently an assessor and want to take the next step into IQA, this is a strong opportunity to make that transition.What We’re Looking ForEssential:Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent)Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, D32/D33) – essentialStrong occupational competency within the electrical industryExperience assessing apprentices (NVQ / apprenticeship standards)Good understanding of quality and compliance within apprenticeshipsStrong communication, organisation, and coaching skillsDesirable:IQA qualification (V1, D34, or equivalent)Experience in an IQA / Internal Verification roleTeaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, or equivalent)IOSH or similar Health & Safety qualificationExperience with e-portfolio systems and quality processesWhat’s in It for YouStep up from Assessor into a Quality Assurance roleGreater influence over standards, delivery, and outcomesHome-based role with regional travel (no daily centre-based work)Structured career progression within quality and leadershipGenerous holiday allowance + bank holidaysPension scheme with employer contributionsHealthcare and wellbeing benefitsOngoing CPD and funded qualificationsWhy Make the Move?Moving into IQA allows you to:Shape the quality of apprenticeship delivery at a wider levelSupport and develop other trainers and assessorsStep away from full caseload management into a more strategic roleBuild a long-term career in quality, compliance, and education leadershipSafeguardingThis role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
