We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our client’s Payroll and Benefits Team on a temporary basis for a 5 month contract. This role is key in delivering timely, accurate payroll and benefits processing while supporting internal stakeholders with pay and benefits queries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managed payroll services, with the ability to manage processes independently and ensure full compliance with internal and statutory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately process payroll and benefits transactions in line with deadlines and SLAsHandle day-to-day transactional queries relating to pay and benefits across the businessBring proven experience in a managed payroll service environment, overseeing end-to-end payroll processesProvide advanced knowledge of payroll procedures, tools, and systemsRespond to Tier 2-level payroll and benefits queries within agreed service levelsMaintain accurate records for payroll-related data including tax, National Insurance, pensions, social contributions, absences, and other deductionsProcess statutory deductions such as attachment of earnings orders in compliance with legislationOffer general administrative support to the wider Payroll & Benefits teamWork independently on non-routine tasks and escalate complex queries where necessarySupport continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to new ways of workingCollaborate with internal teams to resolve pay and benefits queriesQualifications & SkillsStrong background in managed payroll services, with end-to-end processing experienceExperience using payroll systemsUp-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax, NI, and statutory deductionsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processingAbility to work with minimal supervision and prioritise tasks effectivelyConfident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skillsProactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering a high standard of internal service
