Permanent | Engineering / Manufacturing EnvironmentWe are recruiting a Project Technician to provide hands‑on engineering and project support within a regulated manufacturing and packaging environment.The RoleThis position supports engineering projects and day‑to‑day operational activities to ensure safe, compliant and efficient facilities and equipment. You will contribute to small capital projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance activities, working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders and external contractors.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical engineering support across projects and operations in line with GMP and engineering best practiceLead or support small engineering and continuous improvement projects (typically up to £100k)Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to deliver project activities safely and efficientlySupport commissioning, qualification and validation (CQV) activitiesConduct engineering surveys and contribute to feasibility studies and documentationManage shutdowns, permits, risk assessments, and method statements for project worksEnsure all work is carried out in line with health, safety, environmental and quality requirementsContribute to equipment reliability, availability and cost‑reduction initiativesSkills & ExperienceTime‑served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3–4, City & Guilds, or equivalent in an engineering or building services disciplineExperience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical experience desirable but not essential)Knowledge of health 'safety legislation and contractor managementExposure to project delivery or formal project management training advantageousCompetenciesStrong problem‑solving and decision‑making skillsAbility to work independently or as part of a multi‑disciplinary teamAdaptable and organised, with attention to detailEffective written and verbal communication skillsProactive, resilient and committed to continuous improvementWhy Apply?This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to broaden their project exposure within a technically complex and highly regulated environment, offering long‑term stability and professional development.About Planet Pharma: Planet Pharma is an American parented Employment Business/Agency that provides global staffing services with its head-quarters in Chicago and our EMEA regional office located in Central London.
