With a culture that values people, growth, and excellence, they provide an environment where ambitious technologists can thrive while shaping services used by millions.The roleAs a Platform Technical Architect (Consultant), you will take a lead role in designing and delivering high-quality, cloud-based solutions on AWS. Acting as a technical authority, you will work closely with customer architects, engineers, and stakeholders to design, automate, and support modern digital service platforms. You’ll be trusted to make key decisions in fast-paced delivery environments, while coaching teams and influencing both technical direction and business outcomes. Key responsibilitiesProvide technical leadership across delivery projects, setting the standard for engineering quality.Design, build, automate, monitor, and support cloud-native digital platforms in production environments.Collaborate with engineers, testers, consultants, and product teams to meet non-functional requirements.Apply DevOps culture and Continuous Delivery techniques to improve speed, quality, and resilience.Implement strong security and monitoring controls across infrastructure and applications.Support business development by advising on solution design and effort estimates.Mentor, coach, and develop junior engineers, acting as a role model and technical authority.Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and share insights within the team and wider industry.Essential experienceProven track record in technical leadership and DevOps culture within complex delivery projects.Strong communication skills – able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Hands-on ownership of building and operating modern digital service platforms, including planning, estimation, and non-functional requirements.Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), using PaaS and SaaS to solve business problems.Strong skills in automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or Groovy).Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).Knowledge of CI/CD and release automation in production environments.Practical experience with monitoring, logging, and securing cloud-hosted services.Eligible for SC Clearance (UK).DesirableCloud certifications (AWS or Azure).Kubernetes CKAD or equivalent certification.Experience with cloud-native tooling and modern architectural approaches.Degree in a related discipline (or equivalent experience).Active participation in internal or external technical communities.Why join?Work on impactful projects across the UK, delivering platforms that serve millions of users.Take ownership as a trusted technical leader with scope to shape both solutions and teams.Collaborate with some of the best engineers, consultants, and architects in the market.Continuous learning opportunities with strong support for certification and career growth.Flexible working – options to be based in Birmingham, Belfast, or remotely within the UK.A diverse, inclusive environment where your voice is valued and your career progression is supported.
