Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

Lyell Developments Ltd is a new residential developer looking to deliver some exciting new developments across the Home Counties and Midlands. With a strong financially secured pipeline of ongoing and upcoming developments, where we are now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager to join our close-knit team and undertake a hands-on approach in growing with the company.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or someone with the experience ready to step up into a Commercial Manager role who has worked within the private developer environment and who can take full ownership of the commercial process across currently four high-end residential projects. This is a hands-on role with initially no junior support staff, so you must be comfortable managing everything from procurement to final accounts independently.You will play a vital role across our own developments, ensuring cost control, contractual compliance, and commercial efficiency at all stages.Key ResponsibilitiesFull QS responsibility across multiple residential sites. Provide commercial support during tendering, cost evaluation across tendering process, project start-up, and throughout the lifecycle of construction projects ensuring delivery against financial targets and efficiency benchmarks.Oversee and negotiate subcontractor terms and drive value across all procurement subcontract procurement. and administration, including contract preparation, evaluation, and final account settlements.Work closely with our Head of Construction, Project/Site Managers, and Buyer to ensure smooth project delivery and all times.Administer JCT contracts, In-house Contracts, H.A.
