CLOSING DATE: 16th September 2025OPPORTUNITYAdalta Development Ltd is a national training provider specialising in management and leadership programmes, CMI management qualifications and Management Apprenticeships.We are looking to work with a freelance Associate to support us with the delivery of functional skills in both Maths and English for eligible learners working towards Apprenticeships in Team Leading (Level 3) and Management (Level 5).THE ROLEAs Functional Skills Tutor, your role is to coach, support and assess Apprentices to achieve functional skills qualifications by the agreed planned learning end date. You will carry out the role in the context of Adalta’s policies and practices and quality standards. Apprentices complete an initial and diagnostic BKSB assessment as part of the enrolment process and are an approved centre for Highfield Awarding Body.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Develop individual learning plans (ILPs) for apprentices based on their starting points identified via BKSB• Coach and support learners to achieve functional skills qualifications through carrying out regular remote coaching sessions and providing and evidencing qualitative learning input• Manage your diary efficiently to ensure timely progress, assessment and achievement• Maintain timely learner progress records (using OneFile ePortfolio system)• Effectively prepare learners for functional skills exams• Facilitate the set-up, preparation and assessment of the Speaking, Listening and Communication component of the Functional Skill English qualification provide qualitative assessment feedback in line with Adalta’s quality standards• Collaborate with Adalta Skills coaches and line managers as required to ensure the apprentice is fully supported to progress and succeedREQUIREMENTS• Ability to work on own initiative without direct supervision• Strong organisational skills, as well as the ability to plan time effectively• Recognised Assessor or teaching award: D32/D33, A1 or TAQA• Comfortable using a wide range of ICT packages• Recognised English and maths qualifications• Teaching/assessing experience – Essential• Home working space – Essential• Experience of using OneFile ePortfolio – DesirableSCOPEForecasted numbers are approximately 10 Apprentices per year.The successful Associate will be paid a capped cost of £400 per Apprentice for Maths and for £400 English.
