Buying Manager - General Merchandise

**** This role is not a UK based role it is based in Germany and will involve full relocation ****This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to propel their Buying career and experience working collaboratively in a global role. As a Buying Manager you’ll be helping to secure exciting products at the best price and you will be responsible for driving the Buying and Category strategy. You will be an experienced General Merchandise Buyer, this includes categories such as Homewares, Toys, Leisure & Spots, Garden & DIY, Consumer Electricals, Stationery, Seasonal and Household Electricals. You will: Build & maintain long lasting relationships with suppliersLiaise with the FE office and negotiate with FE suppliersCreate category management plans and strategy Negotiate the best possible contracts & termsAnalyse sales figures to plan successful future lines with the buying teamConstant competitor and price analysisWorking cross functionally to ensure quality levels within productsManaging & developing your team, leading by exampleYou will need: Proven previous experience as Buyer / Buying Manager within a fast-moving retail environmentExperience of buying general merchandise (not fashion or food), categories such as Homewares, Toys, Leisure & Spots, Garden & DIY, Consumer Electricals, Stationery, Seasonal and Household Electricals.
