About the RoleWe’re looking for a mid-level Product Designer (UX/UI) to join our mission-driven, fast-moving team at Appt Health. As we scale our platform across the NHS, you’ll play a central role in designing inclusive, impactful digital experiences that make it easier for patients—especially those underserved by the system—to access preventive care.This is a hands-on role that combines user research, product design, and UI/UX craft. We’ve delivered national innovation pilots, secured R&D funding from Innovate UK & SBRI, and recently launched a new cancer screening project with NHS partners. Our work has been recognised three times by the UK government for its social impact.We’ve already built a product that integrates directly into NHS systems and is used by GP practices. Now we’re scaling at a rapid speed.If you want to solve hard problems and design meaningful digital experiences that actually improve people’s health, we’d love to meet you.What you’ll doTranslate research, user needs, and journey maps into intuitive, accessible interfacesLead end-to-end design processes: from discovery and ideation to wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and developer handoffConduct your own user research with practice staff, patients, and underserved groupsSimplify complex workflows into clear and engaging product flowsWork closely with developers to ensure high-quality implementationHelp evolve our design system and advocate for consistency and accessibilityShare your design thinking and take on feedback with curiosity and careWhat we’re looking for   3–5 years' experience in digital product design, ideally in SaaSExperience working on products with real users (especially in healthcare or govtech a plus)Strong UX, UI and interaction design skills — you care about both form and functionFluent in Figma, and confident managing shared design systemsComfortable working in ambiguity and structuring your own workA collaborative mindset and strong communication skillsA drive to design for inclusion, simplicity, and impactWhat you’ll get£40,000-50,000 salary (dependent on experience)28 days holiday + bank holidays + 4 annual "duvet days"Flexible, remote-first working (with optional coworking meetups)A supportive, mission-led team that values learning, autonomy and creativityThe chance to make a real impact on health inequalities in the UKDon’t meet every requirement?That’s okay.
