New Car Sales Manager Job Purpose:To lead and manage the new car sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets while delivering outstanding customer service. The New Car Sales Manager is responsible for stock control, forecasting, sales strategy, and staff development, ensuring departmental profitability and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Drive and manage the performance of the new car sales department.Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet or exceed targets.Oversee new car stock levels, ordering, and vehicle allocations.Implement effective marketing and sales strategies to drive traffic and conversions.Ensure compliance with FCA guidelines and dealership policies.Monitor and analyse KPIs such as conversion rates, profit margins, and finance penetration.Maintain manufacturer relationships and ensure brand standards are upheld.Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and team training.Handle escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.Ensure excellent showroom presentation and vehicle display.Requirements:Proven experience in a retail motor trade sales environment, ideally as a Sales Manager or Business Manager.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Highly motivated with a passion for delivering results.In-depth understanding of the new car sales process and customer journey.Proficient in DMS (Dealer Management Systems), CRM tools, and Microsoft Office.Full UK driving licence.Desirable:Previous experience working with a prestige or volume franchise.FCA accreditation.Experience in digital retailing and online car sales platforms.
