It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.The Epidemiologist/Health Data Scientist will assess the feasibility of utilising existing real-world data (RWD) sources, such as electronic health records, registries, claims, and social media data, to support the generation of real-world evidence (RWE) for consumer health products. This assessment will help identify potential applications for RWE studies that use these data sources to aid research and decision-making.Responsibilities: Feasibility Analysis: Explore feasibility of RWD sources to support RWE generation across categories and BUso Assess data completeness, timeliness, representativeness, coding systems and capture of relevant endpoints and exposures Data Analysis: Generate insights from data to inform clinical and business strategiesReporting: develop feasibility reports and recommendationsCommunication: Effectively communicate findings and insights to internal stakeholdersCross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Categories and Business Units to ensure data requirements are aligned with strategic needsEssential Skills and Experience MSc or PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Data Science, or related disciplinesDemonstrable experience working with public health or healthcare datasets (e.g., CPRD, MEPS, NHANES)Experience or good understanding of the use of social media data for RWE generationStrong understanding of health data structures, retrospective RWE methods, and population health researchProficient in data analysis tools such as R, Python, and SAS.Skilled in data quality assessmentAbility to synthesise complex data characteristics and communicate them clearlyAnalytical mindset with exceptional attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working independently
