They are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer who can support the development, improvement and optimisation of automated manufacturing processes across the plant.This is a hands on engineering role where you will work closely with production, maintenance and engineering teams to improve process capability, support robotic welding systems and drive continuous improvement across the facility.The role will involve:Supporting and improving robotic welding cells and automated production equipmentDeveloping and controlling manufacturing process documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans and Process InstructionsInvestigating and resolving production issues using structured problem solving tools such as 5 Why and DMAICIdentifying and implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesSupporting the introduction of new equipment, processes and automation technologiesAnalysing production data and KPIs to drive improvements in efficiency and qualitySupporting tooling, jigs and fixture design where requiredWe are looking for someone with:A degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineExperience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within an industrial production environmentExperience with automation, robotics or automated manufacturing systemsExposure to robotic welding systems would be highly beneficialUnderstanding of lean manufacturing and structured problem solving techniquesExperience using CAD software such as AutoCAD or CreoExposure to PLC controlled manufacturing equipment would be advantageousBenefitsRetention bonus up to 6504x Life AssuranceCompany sick pay schemePension23 days holiday plus bank holidaysFree hot drinksAccess to retail discountsMedicash health plan
