Role Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Maths lessons across a range of levels and qualifications. Support and monitor student progress through tutorials, guidance, and feedback. Contribute to curriculum planning and development of new learning resources. Ensure teaching meets awarding body standards and individual learner needs. Maintain accurate records, meet assessment and reporting deadlines, and engage in quality assurance processes. Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion within all learning environments. Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to team meetings and quality improvement. Essential Requirements Degree or Level 5 qualification in Maths (or working towards), with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Recent teaching and assessment experience in Maths at Level 2 or above (or willingness to train as a Trainee Lecturer). A recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, PTTLS) or willingness to work towards one. Strong organisational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development and flexibility to work across multiple sites. Passion for creating inclusive, student-centred learning environments. Newly qualified Maths Lecturers may also be eligible for a Targeted Retention Incentive Payment of up to 6,000 , a government-funded grant to support early-career FE teachers in maths.
