Job DescriptionDo you want to work for one of the country's leading house builders?Are you looking for the next step in your career and want to join an expanding team and region as the company continues to build on its success this year?I'm currently working with a leading house builder as they search for a senior land manager to join their team based in the Midlands. You will ideally come from another high volume house builder and have a history of working on big projects and tendering land bids.You would have done deals and have excellent knowledge of the Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire Oxfordshire as well as the East Midlands and Northern Home Counties. Ideally 4+ years post grad and with an ambition to progress. You will work closely with the internal and external consultants to successfully manage the projects through the development lifecycle.The role comes with a industry leading bonus scheme as well as a basic of 70k-80kResponsibilitiesSourcing off-market land for purchase in the East Midlands and Northern Home CountiesKeeping contact with housing associations looking to do partnership JVs.Liaising and negotiating with landowners and agents of potential purchasesOverseeing legal, planning and design consultants pre and post-acquisitionKeeping up to date with town planning policy and specifically in key areas you are targeting for letter writingExpected experiencesDegree-qualified and ideal property-relatedNatural born deal maker doing 3-4 land deals a year consistently.Experienced senior land manager or land manager ready to make the step up.Demonstratable track record of sourcing and acquiring land in the North WestCurrently working for either a national residential developer or a high-profile investor or agency.Detailed understanding of the planning application and appeals process.A strong network of contacts in the land agency world.Determined, hungry and ambitious.Ability to work autonomously and independently from the rest of the team.
