Role: Medical Team Lead Business Unit: MedComms Location: Manchester / Macclesfield / London (hybrid 2 days per week) About Us Established in 2005, Bioscript Group is formed from multiple, specialist businesses to support our global pharmaceutical clients; we draw on their multidisciplinary expertise to help navigate critical decisions at key points in the product lifecycle. The Opportunity The Medical Team Lead provides operational leadership for our internal teams and designated client accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality programmes of work and strategic scientific documents. You will be a key point of contact for clients, providing scientific leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and motivate a talented team, drive excellence in medical and scientific services, and contribute to the growth and success of Bioscript Group. Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate editorial team members, adhering to Bioscript Group policies and procedures Ensure client satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships and delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget Effectively brief other account team members, including Medical Writers, Editors, Database Coordinators, and Creative Support as required Coach and mentor more junior team members, providing support and guidance on client and project-related issues Manage the throughput of assigned projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery Manage resource planning and forecasting for designated accounts, liaising closely with the Medical Team Director (MTD) Line manage assigned team, ensuring well-being and motivation, adherence to company standards and SOPs, and conducting regular performance reviews Build and maintain relationships with colleagues through effective communication About You Proven experience in a senior medical writing role within an agency or pharmaceutical environment Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues In-depth knowledge of industry guidelines and legislation, with the ability to provide high-level editorial advice and support A proactive approach to learning and development, with a commitment to sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members Please note, this role may require domestic and international travel.
