THE ROLE The shift manager will be responsible for general prioritisation of the resources on their shift and will be responsible for schedule adherence through the factory as well as achieving daily output and quality targets The shift manager will assist the department manager and the wider factory leadership team with continuous improvement activities and cost saving initiatives. The shift manager will also be the Site Emergency Coordinator You will lead the daily aspects of the factory during your shift and will have responsibility for delivering the processes, policies and procedures for your team Balanced objectives will be across Health & Safety, Environment & Sustainability, Hygiene & Housekeeping, Quality, Production, Costs and Customer Service as well as first level line management duties for their shift Leading their shift and prioritisation of resources You will be responsible for Initial Safety Investigations and Initial Conduct Investigations You will carry out Return To Work Discussions, Low Level Conduct and Absence Meetings You will carry out stock checks and be responsible for labour movement decisions You will be responsible for recording absence logs You will be responsible for attainment of daily performance KPIs You will oversee and attend both daily operations meetings and shift handover meetings PPE and Workwear Ordering Hygiene and Housekeeping Unsafe Situation Reports, 100% participation of shift Escalation of out of hours issues to Dept Managers, Engineering Manager and SHE Manager THE PERSON You have experience of managing in a fast-paced high-volume manufacturing environment You are someone who is committed to health & safety You are seen as a positive role model You have a can-do positive attitude with a drive to succeed and motivate others You will possess excellent communication skills You can remain calm under pressure You can make sound and rational decisions TO APPLY Please apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Team.
