They are a big believer in their people and have a culture to encourage constant learning and personal development.This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global brand.THE ROLEThe shift manager will be responsible for general prioritisation of the resources on their shift and will be responsible for schedule adherence through the factory as well as achieving daily output and quality targetsThe shift manager will assist the department manager and the wider factory leadership team with continuous improvement activities and cost saving initiatives. The shift manager will also be the Site Emergency CoordinatorYou will lead the daily aspects of the factory during your shift and will have responsibility for delivering the processes, policies and procedures for your teamBalanced objectives will be across Health & Safety, Environment & Sustainability, Hygiene & Housekeeping, Quality, Production, Costs and Customer Service as well as first level line management duties for their shiftLeading their shift and prioritisation of resourcesYou will be responsible for Initial Safety Investigations and Initial Conduct InvestigationsYou will carry out Return To Work Discussions, Low Level Conduct and Absence MeetingsYou will carry out stock checks and be responsible for labour movement decisionsYou will be responsible for recording absence logsYou will be responsible for attainment of daily performance KPI’sYou will oversee and attend both daily operations meetings and shift handover meetingsPPE and Workwear Ordering Hygiene and HousekeepingUnsafe Situation Reports, 100% participation of shiftEscalation of out of hours issues to Dept Managers, Engineering Manager and SHE ManagerTHE PERSONYou have experience of managing in a fast-paced high-volume manufacturing environmentYou are someone who is committed to health 'safetyYou are seen as a positive role modelYou have a can-do positive attitude with a drive to succeed and motivate othersYou will possess excellent communication skillsYou can remain calm under pressureYou can make sound and rational decisionsTO APPLYPlease apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Team.
