This position will be home based. The geographical territory is the UK and Ireland with regular visits to customers and to their HQ office. This position is a full-time permanent role and will report to the Division Manager.Job PurposeTo create and maintain a profitable and sustainable Business Unit, specifically for Custom Synthesis for Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and allied markets in the UK and Ireland.The Business Manager will develop long-term business relationships with Key Customers. The role holder will create unique and compelling sales propositions for custom synthesis of molecules, APIs, excipients, and drug delivery systems.The Business Manager will investigate Market Authorisations and capitalise on new opportunities to grow their business unit. They will promote opportunities for customers to work with Innovation Services and Manufacturing Services.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop ca. 50 Key accountsBuild an opportunity bank of between 100 200 opportunitiesCreate 30 50 active sales projectsDrive a minimum 550k gross margin for the business unitManage existing accounts portfolioEstablish strong, long-term client relationshipsCommunicate with major customers on a regular basis and respond to specific queriesSuggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet customer needsAct as the liaison between key customers and internal teamsIdentify and approach new potential strategic customersManufacturer RelationshipsDevelop relationships with suppliers of all key product groupsObtain marketing informationEnsure adequate UK stockCommunicating with supplier partners (reports, sales figures, market information, product development)Qualifications and ExperienceEducated to BSc level (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific disciplineKnowledge of the UK and global pharmaceutical pipeline, specifically in APIs, excipients, drug xjdpvnf delivery systems and formulation marketsDemonstrate sales experience in a B2B environment Proven experience in a commercial (and ideally technical role as well) in the Chemical Industry Excellent communication and negotiation skillsBusiness acumen to attract and develop new supplier partners Experience of using CRM software and MS OfficeSolution seeking attitudeDemonstrate Drive, have a growth mindset and a team player approachExcellent analytical and organization skillsHold a full driving LicenseIn return, our client is offering a package including a competitive basic salary of up to 65,000 per annum (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience), plus benefits which include bonus, an expensed company car, five weeks holiday, pension and healthcare.To apply for the above position, please send your C.V to Louise - Director at Atom Scientific Recruitment Ltd.
