Salaried GP - Part time / Garden City Surgery Letchworth Hertfordshire An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join our friendly, dynamic, progressive practices. The role is at a high achieving practice with excellent QOF score and Good CQC report. The Garden City Surgery is a training practice and there would be opportunity to get involved in teaching and training if desired. The workload is very well managed, and the surgery can offer flexible working arrangements. There is a comprehensive team of clinical and clerical support staff including two partners and list of other healthcare providers. We are looking to recruit a 5-6 session (including an administrative session) GP. The ideal candidate will provide a high standard of care, have a flexible approach and be an active member in the practice team and practice development. We are an active member of the PCN and local Federation. A salaried GP is responsible for delivering high-quality primary care, including assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Duties include conducting face-to-face and remote consultations, prescribing safely, reviewing test results, and coordinating patient care with the wider multidisciplinary team. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, participating in on-call or duty doctor sessions, and contributing to practice meetings, clinical governance, and ongoing professional development. The Garden City Surgery was established in 1998 and is a two-Partner Surgery. It is within easy walking distance of the town centre shops and the railway station. At The Garden City Surgery, we provide: Primary Care services to a List size of circa 8000 Team of Practice Nurses, Minor Illness Nurses, FY2 Pharmacists, HCA's and Team of medical secretaries, scanning team, and reception team Workload of circa eighteen 15-minutely F2F appointments or telephone slots per session, plus dedicated time to complete admin workload Our Salaried GP will: Garden City Surgery (the organisation) to deliver outstanding services for its patient population. Work as part of a team to support and deliver innovative primary care. Develop and monitor clinical services and proactively engage with commissioning groups. Carry out clinical sessions with the full support of the Lead General Practitioner and Practice Manager. GP Led - Collaborative - Supportive - Innovative - Improving Quality - Enhancing Opportunities - Maintaining Standards - Developing Services - Improving Training - Providing Stability Democratic - Experienced As a Salaried General Practitioner at Garden City Surgery, you will: Provide clinical care to patients - this will include consultation sessions, telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews and prescription signing and other clinical administration, safeguarding lead, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings, etc. Adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and to put individual patient care as your priority. Work with the Lead General Practitioner and Practice Manager to support the development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, CQC, resource profile and cost management. Provide colleague clinical support to Garden City Surgery's GPs, nurses and trainees. Work closely with the practice primary health care team in delivering clinical care. Ensure that personal mandatory and organisationally required training is up to date. Document and report significant events and matters relating to clinical governance to the Lead General Practitioner and Practice Manager.
