Glazing Fitter

We are seeking an experienced door/window fitter who specialises in fitting Aluminium products and has extensive experience fitting bi-fold and patio doors.As a trade only business, we deliver quality glazing, windows, external doors, structural glazing & kitchens to our clients specific needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in fitting products from Smart & Cortizo Systems and have experience with structural glazing, skylights and glass roofs. Good building and carpentry skills will also be required , as will a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. As our Glazing Fitter, you will need good communication skills and be extremely reliable, presentable and professional working alongside contractors and clients on site. Most importantly, you must have a good work ethic and take pride in the quality of your workmanship. The role requires: Fitting new doors, windows and structural glazing Using hand tools & power tools safely and correctly, being able to precisely measure for new fittings and make any changes needed to windows or doors to fit properly Carrying out minor joinery and repairing works Installation of a mixture of Aluminum and UPVC products Installing skylights, glass roofs and other forms of structural glazing Essential Skills required: Excellent knowledge of installing Aluminum products Possess a relevant trade qualification and/or experience in relation to glazing, building/carpentry or technical background Experienced in installing structural glazing and skylights A valid UK driving license Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently & manage own work load Certification or formal training in carpentry is beneficial Excellent communication and interpersonal skills CSCS Card Salary: 35,000 p.a.
