Your New CompanyWe’re delighted to be collaborating with a leading UK Law firm that are conducting a market search for a Newly Qualified solicitor to join their expanding Litigation team in Belfast. Our client is open to solicitors from claimant / plaintiff, defence or commercial litigation backgrounds.Your New RoleIn your new role as the Newly Qualified litigation solicitor, you will;Form part of a high-performance team of Solicitors to assist with progression of matters, including discovery, analysis of quantum evidence, liaising with counsel and third-party experts, trial preparation and legal research and build your own caseload.Work within an insurance defence litigation specialist area, to pursue completion of files in line with client instruction to the commercial benefit to the firm.Communicate, build and utilize relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties in a professional and knowledgeable manner; including all methods of communication: in person, over the phone and writtenProactively identify next steps required on matter, discussing those aspects with the Lead Lawyer and acting as agreed.Interview witnesses and drafting statements.Liaise with parties involved in claims including the insured, insurer, witnesses etc.Draft pleadings and applications.Instruct counsel and attend conferences, JSMs, mediations both remotely and in person.Attend court in person or by telephone, attend trials, settlement conferences etc as required.Deliver agreed performance targets and quality standards.Maintain case managements systems with up-to-date management information for clients.Ensure compliance with the LSNI regulations.What You Need To SucceedAs the Newly Qualified litigation solicitor, you will;Be a qualified solicitor (Northern Ireland, England & Wales or the Republic of Ireland), ideally at Newly Qualified (NQ) level or above.Have experience in either claimant / plaintiff, defence or commercial litigation during your solicitor traineeship.Have strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.Be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.What You'll Receive In ReturnAn excellent Newly Qualified solicitor salary is on offer along with a substantive benefits package, along with hybrid working options after probation.Benefits25 days holiday per year which increases with level of service (opportunity to buy & sell 3 days)Family Cover Private Medical Insurance (Bupa) - will automatically be at single cover level but can opt into family option within first month of joining.Simply Health Care Cash PlanWeCare – 24/7 online GP, mental health support and virtual wellbeing covering a whole host of topics to do with health, mental health, wellbeing & healthy living and financial & legal wellbeingDeath in ServiceCritical Illness CoverPHI/Income Protection (Private health insurance)Pension Contribution based 5% Employee / 3% EmployerEmployee Resource GroupsEmployee Volunteering ProgrammeCycle to Work Scheme*Tech Scheme*Season Ticket Loan*Gym Flex*Access to Online Discount SitesDiscounted Gourmet Society MembershipDiscounted Tickets for Merlin Attractions nationwideDiscounts at local retail outlets* after successfully completing probationApplying For Your New RoleDoes this position sound of interest?
