Role SummaryWe are seeking a competent, UK-experienced Stroke Consultant to join the stroke service in a prestigious hospital in Northern Ireland. The post requires demonstrable hands-on experience in acute stroke lysis and proven clinical competence managing acute stroke pathways within the NHS.Key RequirementsEssential: GMC London registration.Essential: CV must clearly state detailed, hands-on experience in Stroke Lysis.Experience: Minimum 1-year post-CCT consultant experience in Stroke.UK Experience: At least 6 months working at Stroke Consultant level in the UK.Clinical Background: Minimum 4 years’ experience in General Medicine including acute medical take with stroke exposure.Qualification: Membership of the Royal College of Physicians UK or Ireland or an equivalent qualification/training recognised within the NHS.NHS Competence: Evidence of training and practical experience in thrombolysis pathways, acute stroke assessment, and post-lysis care.Desirable SkillsProven ability to work within multidisciplinary stroke teams.Familiarity with stroke imaging pathways, thrombolysis protocols, and local audit/quality improvement.Good communication skills and commitment to clinical governance and teaching.Appointment DetailsLocation: Causeway Hospital, Coleraine, Northern Ireland.Contract Type: On going locum contractStart Date: ASAPUMB: £156 per hourPAYE: £139.20 per hour
