Production Operatives

Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for numerous Permanent Production Operatives , for a client located in Newton Aycliffe. Reporting into the Section Leader. Training can take upwards of 2 years to learn one production line so candidates must be willing to work for our client on a long-term basis - it can take 10 years to learn a variety of lines. Production Operative Main Duties and Responsibilities: To manufacture weather seals in a safe manner. (Extrusions Department) Fully embrace our Core Values. To work in the section in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Targets (OEE, Scrap, OTIF ,Quality Standards , Throughput and Productivity). Work as part of the team on agreed objectives with Section Leader and Production Manager. Actively promote 'Best and safe Practice' in all areas. Actively promote the Quanex 'CREED' Support Section Leader in achieving through objectives. Ensure informative handover is effectively communicated to succeeding operator, any points of note written, signed and dated; in handover book. Any other duties deemed necessary by Section Leader. Production Operative Applicants: Essential Requirements: Exposure to manufacturing environment Strong production experience Lean Tools / Techniques SAP experience Good with modern technology (computers) Desirable Requirements: Good communication & interpersonal skills Creative problem-solving techniques Setting experience Any engineering backgrounds Experience with plastics or extrusions Company Benefits: 3% attendance bonus PPE & Uniform Salary sacrifice scheme Hourly rate: 12.36 per hour basic, plus 20% shift allowance. Annual salary including 20% shift allowance: 30,850 Working a 3-shift pattern of 10pm to 6am, 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm. First couple of weeks will be spent completing the relevant training/induction, during this period candidates will be working a day shift of 8am to 4pm. TPBN1_UKTJ
