Job DescriptionLocation: Newry, Northern Ireland (HQ)Project Type: Data Centre Construction & Power GenerationBenefits Include:Pension SchemeThe Opportunity to travel across EuropeTraining & Development OpportunitiesHealth & Well being initiativesFree Onsite Parking and other additional benefitKey Responsibilities:Oversee compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).Conduct site audits, inspections, and incident investigations across all active sites in Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.Drive EHS performance improvement through proactive risk assessment, behavioral safety initiatives, and continuous monitoring.Liaise with senior management, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote a strong safety-first culture.Review and approve project-specific EHS plans, RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and safety documentation.Develop and deliver training, toolbox talks, and briefings for site personnel and contractors.Champion sustainability and environmental initiatives including waste management, emissions reduction, and regulatory reporting.Lead EHS reporting and KPI tracking at group level, ensuring full visibility across departments and projects.Represent the business in EHS audits, pre qualification meetings, and industry awards.Qualification:Degree or equivalent in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) essential; Chartered status (CMIOSH or equivalent) preferred.Minimum 810 years experience in a senior EHS role within construction, M&E, or industrial engineering environments.Proven track record managing safety across complex installation projects involving generators, HV systems, fuel infrastructure, or critical M&E packages.In-depth knowledge of EU construction regulations and health & safety legislation.Experience with multi-country project delivery and cross-border regulatory compliance.Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Willingness to travel regularly across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.
