Job Description Senior M&E Project Manager (SC Cleared)Location: Newquay, CornwallContract Duration: 6 12 MonthsRate: Competitive Day RateSector: Defense / Large-Scale InfrastructureThe OpportunityWe are looking for a heavy-hitting Senior M&E Project Manager to lead a flagship, large-scale infrastructure project in the Newquay area. This is a high-profile role requiring a leader who can manage complex mechanical and electrical packages within a high-security environment.Given the scale of the works and the security protocols involved, we require a PM who is "boots on the ground" from Monday to Friday to ensure project milestones are met and safety standards are uncompromising.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership: Full lifecycle delivery of M&E packages (HV/LV, HVAC, Fire Systems, and Public Health) valued at 10m+.On-Site Management: Provide daily leadership for subcontractors and site teams to ensure the program remains on schedule.Security & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to site security protocols and CDM 2015 regulations.Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary interface between the client, end-users, and the consultancy team.Commercial Oversight: Manage variations, monthly valuations, and procurement schedules to protect project margins.RequirementsClearance: Active SC Clearance is mandatory (must be transferable).Experience: Minimum 10 years in M&E Project Management, specifically on major infrastructure, defense, or aerospace projects.Technical: Strong background in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines; ability to interrogate designs and solve complex site issues.Qualifications: HND/Degree in Engineering, SMSTS, and CSCS Black Card.Commute: Must be based in Cornwall/Devon or willing to lodge locally in Newquay Monday to Friday.Why Apply?Duration: Long-term stability with a 612 month initial contract and high likelihood of extension.Project Scale: Work on one of the most significant infrastructure developments in the South West in 2026.Environment: A challenging, fast-paced site where your expertise will directly impact delivery.
