Purchasing Manager General Role The Purchasing Manager will lead our procurement team and have a strong focus on Purchase Price Variance (PPV) analysis , cost control , and strategic sourcing . Developing a robust supply chain and building safe supply partnerships that make the business the number one customer to our suppliers and to ensure effective procurement operations and financial performance . Hours of work 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.30am-4pm Quarterly bonus scheme Role Responsibilities Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process including sourcing, negotiation and contract management Ensure accurate and timely procurement of goods and services in line with company policies and specifications. Ensure people and process are aligned with c ompany targets and objectives . Maintain supplier databases and manage procurement documentation and records and ensuring data accuracy in all systems. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Identify and qualify new suppliers to mitigate risk and improve cost, quality, and delivery Monitor and manage Purchase Price Variance (PPV) across all categories . Develop and execute cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects . Analyse market trends and historical data to optimi s e pricing strategies and supplier selection. Ensure appropriate business operating systems are in place to support strategy and achieve targets Set, review and improve key performance targets for quality, cost and delivery also, applying right first time accuracy Drive an effective quotation process to deliver a competitive quotes on-time Required Skills Knowledge of relevant business operating systems Knowledge of relevant legislation Strong and respected leadership style Effective communicator Effective problem-solving skills Ability to manage and motivate a team Effective decision maker TPBN1_UKTJ
