Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for a Electro Mechanical Fitter on a permanent basis for our client based in Telford.HoursMonday - Thursday - 8:30am - 5:15pmFriday - 8:30am - 12:30pmPay£28,000 to £32,000 per annum dependent on experienceDescription and key responsibilities as an Electro Mechanical Fitter:Assemble precision measurement machines, jigs, and fixtures using mechanical and electrical componentsWork collaboratively within a skilled team of engineers, fitters, and wiremenBuild complete machines from component level to finished productProficient in bench fitting and mechanical assemblyAble to make minor adjustments using lathes, milling machines, and surface grindersSkilled in using measurement tools (e.g., DTI, gauge blocks) to check geometric tolerancesExperienced in assembling pneumatic systems and interpreting pneumatic schematicsStrong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilitiesAble to read and work from detailed engineering and assembly drawingsCompetent in electrical panel wiring and reading electrical/electronic schematicsBasic understanding of stepper motors, control systems, sensors, and BUS systems is a plusCapable of fault-finding on DC control systemsQualifications and skill required as an Electro Mechanical Fitter:Essential Qualifications:Engineering Level 3 qualification or equivalent hands-on experienceHNC in Engineering is a plusGood understanding of mechanical and electrical systemsAble to read technical drawings and carry out fault findingComfortable working alone or in a teamReliable and hard-workingGoal-driven and focusedConfident and professionalFriendly, committed, and team-orientedAbility to work in a challenging environment, under pressure and to time scalesWorking hours flexibilityWhat we give you:Continuous recruitment supportGuidance on CV and interview skillsIf you are interested in applying for this vacancy of an Electro Mechanical Fitter please email your CV to Tara.Oreilly@If this role is permanent, gap personnel is operating as the employment agency.
