Pharmacy Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Mental Health team at HMP Highpoint, a category C prison located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk. Highpoint is a male prison with a capacity of 1370 males. You will be based within the healthcare department but will also go out to the wings to administer medication. The pharmacy team consists of 5 members. Main duties of the jobProvide patient-centered care, listening to and acting on patient feedback Ensure safe medicines management and maintain medical records to standard Deliver non-judgemental care within professional standards, including medication administration and cost-effective prescribing Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team Qualifications and experienceNVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council Up-to-date CPD Relevant pharmacy experience Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently following policies and procedures Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is desirable but not essential.
