Join our team as a prison escort in Highpoint and help create a safer environment while supporting essential work within the justice system.Key responsibilitiesReceive, inspect, log and Xray all deliveries, distributing goods to relevant areas.Manage stock control, requisitions and receipting using prison finance and inventory systems.Maintain accurate stock levels, storage records and outside container monitoring.Supervise and manage the prisoner workforce in stores and related areas.Prepare and distribute manufactured goods to other establishments.Manage staff uniform distribution, kit exchanges and weekly laundry transport.Operate vehicles and plant equipment including forklift trucks and HGVs, completing all checks.Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, waste management and security frameworks.Escort and supervise contractors, manage tools and equipment, and maintain radio communications.Respond to emergencies, support maintenance tasks, complete reports, and contribute to prisoner sentence planning. What you needValid Forklift Truck Licence (essential)Experience working in stores or logistics-based rolesAbility to manage deliveries and distribution of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) Good communication skills (written & verbal) with basic English & maths knowledge.Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines.A methodical, organised approach with strong attention to detail.Teamwork skills with the ability to use initiative when needed.Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing circumstances.
