Technical Designer

We are looking for a talented Technical Designer to work with an award-winning creative design and manufacturing business in Newhaven where you will work as part of a small, passionate team who are proud to work with well-known brand names. As a designer with retail or event design experience youll translate design concepts into technical drawings and work internally / with clients to discuss materials required. The Designer job includes: Using your creative flair to take concepts and create technical drawings for manufacturing Working on a variety of projects across retail and events, coming from a background of experience within this sector Creating technical drawings that are backed by an understanding of production methods and knowledge of relevant materials Working with project and production managers to discuss and understand clients needs Designing clear, concise technical drawings to be sent to CNC and other machinery, with clear production packs that show methods of manufacturing and use of materials Skills & experience required: Strong experience in a similar role, gained from a relevant industry Excellent SketchUp, Vectric / VCarve and SolidWorks skills Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator Knowledge of manufacturing materials and processes Salary, hours and Company benefits: 35,000 to 40,000 based on experience 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, fully office based in Newhaven 20 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme Free parking Kitchen area with coffee machine and appliances Casual dress Wild Recruitment Ltd T/A First Recruitment Services is acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
