Job Description QHSE Officer - PermanentThe QHSE Officer role is reporting into the QHSE Manager and also works closely with the Head of Engineering and other department heads. This role will support in achieving exceptional QHSE performance within the business and assist in maintaining the companys Integrated Management System, ensuring QHSE compliance. The QHSE Officer will also be required to carry out regular QHSE Audits on site and at supplier facilities; therefore, a driving license is essential.Job Description: To take full ownership of Incoming, Production and Finished Goods inspectionsWorking closely with the QHSE Manager in investigating returns and troubleshooting product or production issuesAssisting with the preparation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements as requiredAdvising, guidance, support, promoting awareness and coaching all personnel with the implementation of the companys Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and proceduresMaintain and assist with the completion of the internal IMS auditing programAssist with the investigation of any accidents, incidents and near missesAssist the QHSE Manager in raising QHSE standards across the company and share best practicesMaintain and assist with the development of the companys Integrated Management system, ensuring compliance with current applicable legislation, including, but not limited to, health 'safety, environmental, product testing, compliance and other relevant requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve existing processes and systemsPromote safe working practices and assist with continuous improvement to meet or exceed acceptable standardsMaintain accurate QHSE recordsParticipate in internal QHSE meetings and investigationsDeputise for QHSE Manager as/when requiredAssist with third party and customer audits on ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management, ISO 13485:2016 Quality Management (Medical) and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental ManagementCandidate Requirements: NEBOSH Qualification or other recognised H&S qualification2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role Lead Auditor qualification preferred but not essentialEducation in a quality, industrial, electrical, or mechanical discipline is preferred Working understanding of PFMEA & Quality plans.Ideally, electronics experience and background / IPC knowledgeFull Driving license Effective communication and people skillsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsSomeone who can work to deadlinesFirst Aid at work qualification preferred but not essentialThis role is commutable from Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Market Drayton, Newport, Leek, Stone, and Alsager, Newcastle under Lyme and surrounding areas.
