Role: Graduate Town Planner Location: Newcastle city centre based OR Alnwick, Northumberland Tenure: Full time permanent (1-day flexible working) Salary: Up to 28k (negotiable depending upon experience) My client is a property management and development company based in the North East of England which manages personal and business interests for the Duke of Northumberland and Percy Family. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Town Planner to join our existing Team. The work will include involvement in a wide range of projects ranging from rural small scale agricultural to strategic urban extension sites, in a wide range of sectors, housing, commercial, minerals, tourism and leisure. The business also has a significant number of heritage assets which combine to provide a varied and interesting workload in an attractive location. The role will include all aspects of planning application submission and development plan work, with potential for involvement in development construction. Skills & Experience required: Degree in Town Planning or related discipline with the desire to continue professional development Desire to continue career development path Demonstrate basic practical experience in town planning and development Ability to work as part of an effective team in a highly professional environment Enthusiasm and ability to take initiative Analytical and research skills. Confident IT skills & using planning software and tools Effective communication and reporting skills Ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders Must have driving licence and access to vehicle to be able to access sites Knowledge of planning policies and regulations, and understanding of local planning authorities Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RTPI) is a plus Previous internship or work experience in town planning is advantageous55b20050-bc17-4e5d-bfce-3c406318dffc
