The successful candidate will play a key role in gathering, analysing, and validating business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and government standards.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with stakeholders to gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder sessions to capture needs and expectations.Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.Analyse processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement.Support solution design, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with government frameworks.Assist in defining acceptance criteria and support testing activities.Ensure documentation and outputs comply with Cabinet Office and departmental standards.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, developers, testers, and architects.Essential Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Business Analyst within UK Government or public sector projects.Active SC Clearance (mandatory).Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Experience working within Agile delivery environments (Scrum, Kanban).Ability to produce high-quality documentation: requirements, user stories, process maps, use cases, and business process models.Knowledge of GDS (Government Digital Service) principles and standards.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Desirable SkillsPrevious experience working on large-scale digital transformation projects in government.Familiarity with data-driven projects, systems integration, or legacy system replacement.Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent.Understanding of security, compliance, and data protection requirements in government.
