Freight Account Manager - Newcastle - Up to 40,000 Our client, a well-established freight forwarding company, is looking for a Freight Account Manager to join their team in Newcastle. As a Freight Account Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring a personalised and efficient service that builds loyalty, drives repeat business, and supports smooth operational delivery. Job type: Permanent Salary: Up to 40,000 Key Responsibilities Manage and develop your own portfolio of customer accounts Deliver a personalised and professional service to build strong customer relationships Ensure shipments are processed efficiently and accurately Liaise with internal operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of freight solutions Identify opportunities to grow accounts and increase revenue Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, shipments, and account activity Person Specification Previous experience in Air or/and Ocean freight is essential Proven account management experience with a track record of building and managing client portfolios Good understanding of UK transport and freight forwarding operations Strong relationship-building skills, both over the phone and in person Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines High competency with Microsoft Excel and strong IT literacy WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
