Anti Social Behaviour Officer

We are recruiting for an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join a busy housing team in Newcastle upon Tyne on a rolling temporary contract. This role offers a flexible hybrid working model and requires someone confident in handling complex and high-level ASB cases from start to finish.About the RoleThis role involves leading on serious and high-level anti-social behaviour cases, ensuring swift and effective resolution.ResponsibilitiesLead on serious and high-level anti-social behaviour cases, ensuring swift and effective resolutionPrepare and serve legal notices, injunctions, and possession proceedings in line with legislation and organisational policyManage a varied caseload, maintaining accurate and detailed case recordsWork collaboratively with internal teams, partner agencies, and the police to develop coordinated responses to persistent ASBProvide advice and support to residents, helping to prevent escalation and promote safe, cohesive communitiesAttend court where necessary and prepare high-quality evidence and documentation to support legal actionQualificationsProven experience managing high-level ASB and tenancy enforcement cases within a housing or local authority settingStrong knowledge of housing law, ASB legislation, and legal processes including injunctions and possession proceedingsExperience preparing legal documents and liaising with solicitors and enforcement agenciesA valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)Basic DBS required (or willingness to obtain)Excellent communication, negotiation, and case management skillsRequired SkillsProven experience managing high-level ASB and tenancy enforcement casesStrong knowledge of housing law and ASB legislationExperience preparing legal documentsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsPreferred SkillsExperience liaising with solicitors and enforcement agenciesBasic DBS or willingness to obtainPay range and compensation package£25 - £30 per hour (umbrella)4-week rolling contractHybrid working patternBased in Newcastle upon TyneIf you are an experienced ASB professional ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, please apply to this advert or contact Simon Cain or Daniel Judge on 07441 916450 for more information.```
