Software Development Lead

Are you a hands-on technical leader who thrives on transforming platforms and setting engineering standards? This is an opportunity for a Software Development Lead to shape a major modernisation programme and steer the evolution of a software product into a modern, scalable, API-driven architecture. What You'll Be Doing Lead and mentor a growing development team whilst remaining hands-on. Modernise and replatform a legacy application Build and enhance backend services, RESTful APIs. Collaborate with product, UI/UX and delivery teams to deliver intuitive, future-ready features. Define engineering best practices, architectural patterns and coding standards. What You'll Bring Strong full-stack developer with hands-on experience across multiple programming languages. Proven experience leading or mentoring developers. Legacy migration experience (essential). Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, integration patterns and backend architecture. Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
