Electrical Test Technician

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on electrical assembly/wiring work while also contributing to cutting-edge testing and product development within a modern laboratory environment.As a Test Technician, you will play a key part in supporting the engineering and R&D teams by:Building and assembling prototypes to support new product developmentConstructing bespoke test equipment used to validate performance, functionality, and long-term reliabilityCarrying out testing activities, which may include working with robotic systems in both laboratory and specialised test facilitiesSupporting continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring testing processes and assembly methods evolve with the businessCollaborating with engineers and technicians, providing feedback and contributing to problem-solving activitiesThis role offers a unique blend of practical electrical work and technical testingideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a development-focused environment.Qualifications & Experience RequiredTo be successful in this role, you will need:HNC in an electrical discipline and a previous experience working in a similar role (essential)Strong working knowledge of panel wiring and the ability to interpret electrical drawingsProven experience constructing electrical assembliesBackground working within a continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environmentSolid understanding of correct electrical assembly practicesHands-on experience stripping, crimping, and terminating cablesPerson SpecificationWere looking for someone who is:A team player with strong communication skillsPositive, proactive, and eager to contribute to ongoing development projectsAble to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlinesFlexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environmentIf you are an experienced Test Technician with a strong electrical background and youre looking to join a forward-thinking business at a pivotal moment in their growth journey, wed love to hear from you.
