Job Description We are working with a leading organisation in the building systems and engineering sector to recruit an experiencedSenior Automatic Door Technician to support and develop service engineering teams across multiple northern regions.Applicants must havehands-on experience as an Automatic Door Technician andknowledge ofautomatic sliding, swing, revolving and safety door systems.Approximately 40k dependant on experience. Training can be provided for supervisory duties.The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing field-based technical teams, ensuring service delivery remains consistent, compliant, and customer-focused. You'll act as a mentor, auditor, trainer, and technical escalation point, with regular travel and close collaboration with regional offices.Key responsibilities included:Reviewing and assessing technician capability, performance, and working practicesCarrying out structured audits covering HSQE, RAMS, PPE, vehicles, tools, plant, and stockDelivering formal and informal trainingIdentifying skills gaps and creating tailored development plansSupporting technical escalations and providing expertise to service teams and officesConducting site-based audits across multiple regionsAssisting with estimating, office support, and operational tasks when requiredSupporting IT systems and digital tools used by field engineersActing as first-line escalation for out-of-hours call-out activity on a rota basisResearching and proposing new training initiatives to add value to the businessMaintaining strong communication between geographically spread teamsThe Senior Automatic Door Technician will require:Extensive hands-on experience as an Automatic Door TechnicianProven technical knowledge ofautomatic sliding, swing, revolving and safety door systemsExperience working withing the construction industryProven background in coaching or training technical teamsConfident delivering technical information clearlySelf-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independentlyProfessional, positive approach with excellent communication skillsFull UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as requiredBenefits include:25 days annual leave, plus bank holidaysPaid Birthday LeaveLife Assurance SchemeCycle to Work SchemeEnhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay...and more!If you would like to know how we will store and process your data, please visit The Recruitment Groups home page to read our GDPR Data Protection Statement.For more information and to apply click 'Apply Now' to submit your application.We wish you the best of luck in your job search!JBRP1_UKTJ
