Metal Polisher

Our client, based in Newcastle, is seeking an experienced Metal Polisher to carry out work to a high standard, including belt finish to sateen, super sateen, mirror finishing, and achieving various RA values, measured using digital surface meters (Tele-surf). Polishing standards arebelt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror finishing and various RA values. These finishes will be measured using digital surface meters (Tele-surf) Polishing finished components to a range of standards including standard eighty-grit belt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror Use polishing equipment to polish radius of components. Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts In process and finished goods inspection. Process auditing Signing first and last inspection reports Reporting of non-conforming parts To ensure zero defects reach end user Entering technical data on to computer spread sheet package Standard Responsibilities: To Participate in the company's ETG performance management system and maintain a personal development plan. To ensure the confidentiality and security of all information processed during the course of employment in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and any subsequent legislative revisions and additions. To be aware of personal responsibilities under Health and Safety regulations and attend appropriate training. To maintain Health and Safety focused projects. To co-operate with risk assessments and ensure that risks are identified and reported as they arise and attend appropriate training.
