Bee Happy Recruitment are seeking a Hotel Manager for a stunning, Luxury Estate in Northumberland. Salary from 55,000 plus benefits 45 hours Per week This privately owned five-star country estate comprises over 60 bedroomed luxury property, spa, and championship golf facilities. Under new ownership since 2020, the business has undergone significant refurbishment and strategic repositioning, with further investment planned. The long-term vision is to achieve 5 Red Star status within the next two years. The business is evolving from a high-volume events-led operation into a refined luxury destination, encouraging longer guest stays through elevated service standards and a diverse, high-quality product offering. The Role This senior operational leadership role will play a key part in the ongoing transformation of the business. Working closely with the Head of Commercial Development, the successful candidate will take responsibility for core operational performance, people leadership, and the overall guest journey across multiple departments. Acting as a visible ambassador for the brand, you will provide direction, structure, and strategic guidance to department leaders across front of house, accommodation, food and beverage, and leisure operations. The role balances commercial performance with an exceptional guest experience, ensuring standards are consistently delivered while financial targets are achieved. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operational performance across the estate, supporting department heads as required Play an active role in the preparation and delivery of the Annual Operating Budget Lead regular operational and performance meetings, ensuring agreed action plans are implemented Ensure full compliance with all operational controls, SOPs, food safety, health & safety, fire regulations, GDPR, and welfare standards Manage procurement processes and ensure supplier agreements meet legal and commercial requirements Oversee guest feedback and complaint handling, ensuring effective service recovery Review monthly financial performance and provide structured feedback against departmental KPIs Identify opportunities for operational improvement and cost efficiencies while maintaining service standards Monitor daily business performance reports and respond proactively Work with the Head of Commercial Development to plan and communicate duty management cover, supporting the development of emerging managers through structured exposure and training Support recruitment, onboarding, and development across operational departments Take ownership of complex guest issues and overall service delivery Respond to internal and external audits to support continuous improvement Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be an experienced and commercially astute hospitality professional with strong leadership capability and a hands-on approach. You will be adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the business. Experience & Skills Proven experience within a luxury resort or high-end hospitality environment Strong financial, operational, and people management skills Confident working with budgets, performance metrics, and business reporting Experience operating at senior departmental or multi-department leadership level Please apply with your CV below TPBN1_UKCT
