They are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in Inventor to join their design team in Newcastle.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Experience in mechanical design within manufacturing or engineering environments Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor Ability to produce detailed 3D models, drawings, and BOMs Knowledge of sheet metal, machined parts, and assemblies Engineering qualification (HND, HNC, BEng, MEng, or similar) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good communication skills (written and verbal)The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Designing mechanical components and assemblies using Inventor Producing 3D models and 2D engineering drawings Generating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) Supporting the design and development of machinery and bespoke equipment Liaising with production, purchasing, and project teams to ensure manufacturability Modifying and improving existing designs to meet client requirements Ensuring designs comply with company and industry standardsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations.
