Skills Tutor

Working for a local charity, in this role you will be making a huge difference in people's lives. You'll be supporting people who have a range of challenges, such as learning difficulties, mental health needs, autism and / or other physical challenges with many of the things that we can sometimes take for granted. For example, support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene as well as other skills such as numeracy, literacy, finances. You'll also work as part of a team, supporting people who access support to explore new ideas and activities, accessing days out and connecting with friends, helping people to feel more included and less isolated. The work of the charity has a real impact and changes lives for the better. Ideally you'll be used to working in a learning environment and possibly have relevant qualifications as well as be willing to learn and explore new ideas. You could bring your skills and experience into this environment or build on your knowledge and experience of supporting people both individually and in groups.
