?? Location: Bristol, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham, Swansea (Hybrid) ?? Salary: 42,848 - A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97% ?? Contract Type: Permanent Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time The purpose of this role is to lead and support the drafting, implementation and review of legislation. The post holder will be required to provide advice to stakeholders, Department for Transport (DfT) officials and lawyers of which this will include the interpretation of legislation that underpins DVSA's responsibilities. The post holder will actively manage relationships within the DfT family and across Government to ensure strategic alignment of objectives to maximise benefits for all. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Working with the Service Managers and Product Managers, actively liaise with DVSA Enforcement. Liaising with DfT to ensure all relevant regulatory clearance processes are completed and cleared as required. Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that any regulatory changes are implemented efficiently and effectively. This will include managing expectations, providing advice and guidance to senior stakeholders and service managers. About you To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience: In depth knowledge of Drivers Hours & Record Keeping and Working Time Regulations. Significant experience of interpreting Drivers Hours & Record Keeping and Working Time Regulations and providing clear advice and an understanding of how the policies and processes are related to it. Significant experience of effective communication skills ability to deliver and present complex information so that others can understand. Significant experience of drafting clear and concise responses, explanations and briefing for a variety of audiences. Evidence of working collaboratively and managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Managing and developing staff - evidence of providing constructive and developmental feedback to others. TPBN1_UKTJ
