They are a big believer in their people and have a culture to encourage constant learning and personal development.This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global brand.THE ROLEYou will ensure production is planned effectively to balance the needs of the business focusing on manufacturing efficiency and demand requirementYou will be involved with creating and developing reports, liaising with the production team to implement an effective strategy to suit the current business requirementYou will work to identify potential shortages and counteract service missesYou will plan based on current demand and have a customer-oriented viewYour role focuses on décor treatment demand and CPL planningYou will occasionally take on any ad-hoc tasks, contribute to ongoing business projectsYou will be responsible for hitting operational targetsYou will work alongside the team to effectively plan the factoryYou will consistently focus on productivity and continuous improvementYou will work alongside colleagues in planning and raw materials to highlight and prevent potential issues that will affect the planYou will be working with production to ensure the plan is delivered effectivelyTHE PERSONThis role will suit a person with a manufacturing background but has recently moved into a production planning role with at least 1 years’ experience on the below pointsIt is essential that you have good knowledge of using ERP systemsYou will have good knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel – understand data tables, create pivots and use basic functions (e.g. vlookup)You will need good knowledge of procurement / purchasing and import / exportYou must have experience of S&OP processYou must have experience of working in a busy manufacturing environmentYou will have a positive and proactive ‘can do’ attitudeYou can demonstrate to work under pressure and be resilientYou must have a willingness to learnYou will be able to demonstrate to be analytical and have a good attention to working detailYou can work on your own or part a diverse teamYou will be commercially astute and aware of the long term plan for business growthIt is desirable to have customer services knowledgeLaminate production process, logistics / distribution is desirableDemand planning knowledge is desirableKnowledge of Infor systems (LX), Qlik or Alteryx (or similar) is also desirableTO APPLYPlease apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Team.
