The role promises a blend of strategic involvement and hands-on financial management, ensuring a stimulating and rewarding career path.Key Responsibilities- Lead monthly management accounts submissions and UK entity budgets/forecasts.- Partner with management and operational teams to deliver financial insights and enhance performance.- Act as the site finance lead for productivity initiatives and deputise for the Financial Controller as needed.- Prepare operational performance reports, variance analysis, and commentaries.- Manage stock and overhead reporting, fixed asset register, and CAPEX support.- Perform product costing, balance sheet reconciliations, and risk/opportunity assessments.- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and support year-end audits.- Drive continuous improvement in finance and ERP processes.- Support ad hoc projects and maintain data integrity across systems.Keys to Success- Demonstrate conceptual and practical expertise in cost accounting with a broad understanding of related areas.- Apply best practices and integrate them effectively with other business functions.- Plan, initiate, and complete work assignments independently.- Interpret and analyse complex fiscal data, drawing logical conclusions.- Recommend revisions to improve internal controls and standard accounting procedures.- Solve complex problems with innovative solutions and sound judgement.- Communicate accounting procedures and policies clearly to staff and stakeholders.- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.Requirements and Preferred Skills- 4/5 years of experience in cost accounting.- Ideally fully qualified CIMA or ACCA.- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing finance environment.- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.- Solid understanding of internal controls and financial regulations.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP/manufacturing systems knowledge.- Well-organised with clear self-expression and a proactive mindset.- Manufacturing finance experience; HFM knowledge preferred.This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a challenging environment and is eager to contribute to the success of the business.
