General Manager – Premium Hospitality Venue, Near Newbury 65K + performance bonusAn outstanding opportunity for a General Manager to lead a unique hospitality destination and event space in an idyllic rural setting just Southwest of Newbury. This independent rural business offers a forward-thinking approach to food with their high-quality restaurant, deli, farm shop offering creating wholesome food with nearly all the ingredients used in the restaurant dishes and all the produce in the farm shop being either grown or reared on site. With an ethos grounded in sustainability, rural life and warm hospitality, this is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader who values integrity, quality and guest experience and who can lead from the front .We are looking for an entrepreneurial candidate who will thrive building and developing new business and partnerships in the community and whose front of house approach will galvanise the team and customers alike to take the business onto the next level. Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience across all areas,Foster a positive, service-led team culture across all departmentsWork closely with chefs and suppliers to maintain standards and seasonality in both food and productManage budgets, financial performance, and KPIsWork closely with the marketing and digital agency on campaigns and content.Build and develop retail accounts within hotels/restaurants/venues.Introduce new business, including private hire, educational trips, exclusive events, and cookery demonstrations.Uphold all licensing, health 'safety and compliance requirements.Can deliver exceptional NPS, customer reviews and guest feedbackWe are keen to hear from candidates who:Proven Senior Management experience within a Boutique or Independent Restaurant/Destination Venue.Strong commercial awareness and a track record of winning and securing new and repeat business.Are politically astute and exceptional at managing key stakeholders and investors.Excellent people leadership skills and a calm, confident presenceDeep appreciation for seasonal food, rural hospitality, and high standards of serviceProactive, hands-on, and able to adapt across a multi-faceted site.In addition to basic salary of up to £65k the position offers a performance related bonus, 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays and an employer pension contribution of 5%.
