Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A leading international civil engineering contractor is seeking to recruit an Assistant QS to join their civil engineering division working on water projects in Reading. The business is well-established and, with healthy order books, is enjoying a period of growth across all divisions. They work with a range of clients, including water authorities and major organisations across the energy sector. This is a hybrid working Assistant Quantity Surveying role. The Role Reporting to the Senior QS, the role offers a great deal of variety and the chance to work as part of a dynamic and motivated team with whom you can push your career forward. Duties will include assisting with: Pricing and assisting in tending for work Working to a schedule of rates Processing management accounts and reports Assessing dispute management and resolution Visiting sites in London once a week Working as part of a team with administration support provided. Experience Required Suitable candidates will ideally have previous experience working in the civil engineering or utility sector and will be able to demonstrate a good working level of Microsoft Excel. You will have ideally gained experience working alongside accounts departments and be used to processing high-volume, low-value data. You may have previous experience working in a commercial department or equally in procurement. You will have first-class interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
