Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor with a minimum of 3+ years PQE to join our reputable legal team. Horsey Lightly is a very well regarded mid-sized practice in the heart of Newbury, West Berkshire. Our commercial property solicitors have a wealth of knowledge and expertise, and you would be joining a dynamic, stimulating team with high standards. The successful candidate would need to have capabilities for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial property transactions, providing expert legal advice and ensuring the highest standards of client service. This role is an excellent opportunity for a committed solicitor looking to advance their career within an experienced team. Responsibilities Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases, licences, and sale agreements for commercial properties Advising clients on property acquisitions, disposals, and development projects Conducting due diligence and title investigations to ensure clear ownership and rights Managing transactions from inception through to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation Providing strategic legal advice on planning permissions, planning agreements, and land use matters Liaising with clients, agents, surveyors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes Keeping abreast of changes in property law and relevant regulations to ensure advice remains current and accurate Requirements A minimum of 3+ years PQE specialising in commercial property law within a recognised legal practice. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and effectively Proficiency in IT systems relevant to legal practice management and document drafting. Leap training preferred but not required. Proven experience in managing multiple transactions simultaneously with attention to detail Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities Membership of the Law Societys Property Law Accreditation or equivalent is desirable but not essential We look forward to receiving your CV.
