Consultant ENT/ Otolaryngology Surgeon Medico-Legal Expert Remote | Part-Time / Full-Time Flexible A well-established and respected UK-based medical firm is seeking an experienced Consultant ENT/OtolaryngologySurgeonto join its national panel of expert witnesses. As an ENT Expert specialising in medico-legal reports , you will play a key role in providing high-quality medical assessments and expert reports for legal purposes. Your expertise will be utilised in various cases involving personal injury, clinical negligence, and occupational health issues, among others. This is a remote, flexible opportunity designed for practising NHS and private ENT consultants who want to apply their clinical expertise in a medico-legal settingbacked by a dedicated administrative and clinical support team. What Youll Do: Conduct thorough medical assessments for patients in the context of ENT conditions, including auditory, nasal, and throat-related issues. Provide comprehensive and detailed medico-legal reports, outlining the medical evidence and offering expert opinions. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues Attend meetings or hearings as required to provide expert testimony. Stay updated on the latest ENT advancements. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all relevant legal and ethical guidelines. Ensure all reports are completed within agreed timelines. Provide advice and expert opinions on a variety of medico-legal matters including personal injury, clinical negligence, and occupational health. Requirements: Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent). Specialisation in ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) with significant clinical experience. Previous experience in preparing medico-legal reports is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to present complex medical information in a clear, concise manner. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously. Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., Royal College of Surgeons, British Medical Association) preferred. Desired/ Preferred Skills: Experience with occupational health assessments. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to provide expert testimony in court, if required.
