Job Description Mechanical Fitter | Nelson | 18 per hour + Overtime + EOT Profit ShareLooking for more variety in your work, and the chance to see the machines you build come to life on site?This is a hands-on role that splits your time between the workshop and customer sites, both in the UK and overseas. Youll be building and assembling bakery machinery from drawings and CAD models, installing it at customer sites, and getting stuck into testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.The business is employee-owned, which means everyone here has a genuine stake in how things run and shares in the profits too.Heres what youll be doing:Assembling machinery from 2D drawings and 3D CAD modelsInstalling, commissioning and starting up machines at customer sitesCarrying out site surveys, repairs and fault finding when neededSupporting factory acceptance tests (FATs) and equipment handoversWorking with motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatics and sensorsRolling your sleeves up to support the wider team wherever neededWhats in it for you:18 per hour plus regular overtime at time and a halfAnnual profit share after 12 months (Employee Ownership Trust)Health cover, health cash plan and workplace pensionFull workwear providedThe chance to travel, learn and take on real responsibility in a growing teamYoull need:A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical EngineeringSolid bench fitting, assembly and general mechanical skillsThe ability to read technical drawings and CAD referencesPneumatics experience and hands-on familiarity with production equipmentA full UK driving licence and valid passportA proactive mindset and the flexibility to switch between factory and field workAbout the company:GBS Automation is based in Nelson.
