Mechanical Fitter | Nelson | 18 per hour + Overtime + EOT Profit Share Looking for more variety in your work, and the chance to see the machines you build come to life on site? This is a hands-on role that splits your time between the workshop and customer sites, both in the UK and overseas. Youll be building and assembling bakery machinery from drawings and CAD models, installing it at customer sites, and getting stuck into testing, troubleshooting and commissioning. Heres what youll be doing: Assembling machinery from 2D drawings and 3D CAD models Installing, commissioning and starting up machines at customer sites Carrying out site surveys, repairs and fault finding when needed Supporting factory acceptance tests (FATs) and equipment handovers Working with motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatics and sensors Rolling your sleeves up to support the wider team wherever needed Whats in it for you: 18 per hour plus regular overtime at time and a half Annual profit share after 12 months (Employee Ownership Trust) Health cover, health cash plan and workplace pension Full workwear provided The chance to travel, learn and take on real responsibility in a growing team Youll need: A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Solid bench fitting, assembly and general mechanical skills The ability to read technical drawings and CAD references Pneumatics experience and hands-on familiarity with production equipment A full UK driving licence and valid passport A proactive mindset and the flexibility to switch between factory and field work About the company: GBS Automation is based in Nelson.
